03/05/18 (MONDAY)- The students begin the hour with a grammar sentence (parts of speech-DOL). The students will work on their flashcards on adjectives.
Learning Target (s): I can determine the parts of speech of a sentence. I know what an adjective is.
03/06/18 (TUESDAY)- The students will begin the hour with a grammar handout on adjectives (DOL). The students will work on synonyms/antonyms. The students will play a Jenga game to test their knowledge of adjectives. NWEA Testing.
Learning Target (s): I can listen for the purpose of following directions. I can construct sentences.
03/07/18 (WEDNESDAY)- NWEA Testing. The students will work on test corrections. They will find pictures from magazines to match with the adjectives they got wrong.
Learning Target (s): I can discuss specific examples and be able to identify and explain the adjectives from the unit.
03/08/18 (THURSDAY) - The students will work on the DOL. The students will write a present their "Adjective Hand Activity". They will begin their next activity on adjectives. They will create a cutout of a hand and write down adjectives that describe them. We will hang these in the class.
Learning Target (s): I can follow directions. I can write a journal response using COMPLETE sentences.
03/09/18 (FRIDAY)- Half day. The students will go to the library to pick out a book for silent reading. The students will listen to the rules regarding SSR every Friday. The students will continue working on their journals.
Learning Target (s): I understand the rules and requirements of SSR. I can effectively write an SSR response.
